Jessa is a proud CPA, technology entrepreneur, and community leader who eegan her career at PwC before transitioning into a management role in industry. Her entrepreneurial drive led her to co-found Pontem Innovations, a customized data solutions company that develops Microsoft Power BI dashboards, databases and web applications tailored to clients’ specific needs. With the goal of empowering leaders to become data-driven, Pontem’s team has supported over 100 clients across North America, spanning industries such as construction, energy, professional services, and non-profits.
A dedicated community leader, Jessa currently serves as President of VISMIN Alberta, a non-profit dedicated to preserving Filipino traditions by fostering strong, connected local community. She previously served as a board director for the City of Edmonton Non-Profit Housing Corporation (HomeEd) and has served as President of the University of Alberta (UofA) Business Alumni Association, and as a Member-At-Large at UofA’s Alumni Council.
A sought-after speaker, she frequently shares her insights at business events and seminars supporting post-secondary education, the accounting profession, entrepreneurship, and women in business. Jessa was recognized with a CPA Alberta Early Achievement Award in 2021.
Deeply family-oriented, Jessa prioritizes time with husband, two young children, and extended family. She firmly believes in integrating the four key areas of life—family, self, work, and community.
