For over 40 years, Angus has served clients and the community as the founding partner of Angus Watt Advisory Group, and Senior Wealth Advisor with National Bank Financial. Angus and his group manage over $1.4 billion in assets and are trusted experts in wealth management, portfolio strategy, financial planning, and individual insurance.

A dedicated community builder, Angus has founded, led, or co-led numerous major community initiatives, including recently as a member of the Health Quality Council of Alberta. Previously, he served as Co-Chair of the Cross Cancer Institute Campaign (CCI) which raised over $30 million. Angus has also held prominent roles such as Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Honorary Colonel for the South Alberta Light Horse Regiment.

In 2024, Angus received an Honorary Doctorate from MacEwan University. In 2023, he was inducted as a member into the Alberta Order of Excellence and as a laureate into the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. He is a past recipient of the “Paul Harris Fellow” award from the Rotary Club of Canada. Angus received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012 and the Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022.
