What do you see impacting the CPA profession, and how can CPA Alberta best respond?

The future of the accounting profession is significantly impacted by advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchains, and cryptocurrency. These transformative changes require CPAs to develop appropriate IT and strategic skills to effectively leverage technology. Beyond historical bookkeeping, which can now be automated, CPAs must understand the bigger picture of organizations and act as valuable business partners. To best respond, CPA Alberta should thoroughly review the syllabus, emphasizing technology, leadership, and business partnership as essential competencies for CPAs.

How do your skills and background position you to positively contribute to the CPA Alberta Board and lead the governance of the profession?
