Awarded annually to a student from rural Alberta (outside Edmonton and Calgary) with superior academic achievement entering the first year of studies (after completion of the pre-professional year) of the Bachelor of Commerce degree program majoring in Accounting. Recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing.

CPA Education Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award in Management Accounting
CPA Education Foundation Rick Cormier Memorial Award
First half awarded to a first year student of an undergraduate degree program at the U of A who plans to enter B Comm program at the School of Business after completion of a preprofessional year, preference given to student with demonstrated financial need. Second half contingent upon satisfactory academic standing and admission to the School of Business.

CPA Education Foundation Scholarship in Accounting
CPA Graduating Scholarship in Accounting
This award is given to a student who is graduating from the Bachelor of Commerce Program. A specialization in Accounting including the completion of a minimum of three senior accounting courses is required. Superior academic achievement in the Business program is required.

David Sharpe Memorial Bursaries
Awarded annually to three students entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Commerce degree program majoring in Accounting who are registered in or who will be registering in the co-op program. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of demonstrated financial need with preference given to students with superior academic achievement.

Elvin Christenson FCA Memorial Scholarship in Accounting
To be awarded annually to two students with superior academic achievement entering the third or fourth year of an undergraduate program in the School of Business who intends to major in Accounting and work towards a career as a Chartered Professional Accountant. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic standing and demonstrated financial need.

Ken Lemke Memorial Scholarship
To be awarded annually to one student with superior academic standing transferring to year 2 (after completion of the pre-professional year) or year 3 (after completion of their required second-year coursework at another postsecondary institution) in the School of Business. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic standing with preference given to those with a demonstrated financial need. This award is renewable for a second year providing the student maintains superior academic standing, declares an Accounting major and registers in ACCTG 414.

Larry Swonek CPA Education Foundation Award
Awarded to an Alberta high school graduate with satisfactory academic standing entering the first or second year of an undergraduate degree program in the School of Business who intends to pursue a career in the CPA Profession. Recipient will be selected on the basis of demonstrated involvement in university sports, campus student organizations, or community volunteering. Preference will be given to a student not otherwise receiving an award in the same academic year.

To be awarded annually to a graduating student with superior academic standing in the School of Business whose major focus during their degree program has been in the area of finance, or who have majored in accounting with a strong emphasis on finance. Recipients must display an intention to pursue a CPA designation. Selection will be based on academic standing.
